Hello and welcome to THRIVE.
My name is David Barker and I established Thrive Consulting in 2018 with a simple purpose: to help charities and non-profits of all sizes to develop, grow, prosper and flourish.
Having worked in the sector for over two decades and commissioned services from a wide variety of consultants and agencies, I wanted to create a place that charity leaders and not for profit organisations could come to for proven practical experience, rich insight, no nonsense advice and a range of impressive skills and creative ideas.

I help people and teams to hold up the mirror. We work together to sort out problems, provide practical solutions and help maximise opportunities and impact. Along the way we positively identify areas for organisational or individual development and growth. And if I can’t help, I call on a rich network of trusted associates and specialists – people I have worked with and/or seen in action. People that impress me and who make a difference in their specialist fields. People I would trust with my own business.
Between us we provide a wealth of knowledge and expertise having worked for, and with, some of the largest and smallest charities and not for profit organisations in the UK.

We do this by offering insight, ideas, guidance, support, scrutiny and productive challenge across all facets of your work – from high level strategy advice and delivery, leadership mentoring through to advising on governance, marketing, fundraising, single campaigns or major growth and transformation programmes.
